It Is Not Good for Man to Be Alone
During my trip to Brazil in October 2024, I had the opportunity to reflect deeply on one of God’s timeless truths—a principle that has shaped my life and ministry. I later shared this message during a men’s conference at Amigo Íntimo Church because it’s a truth we all need to hear and embrace: It is not good for man to be alone.
From the very beginning, God made it clear that man wasn’t created to walk through life in isolation. Genesis 2:18 tells us, "The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’" This wasn’t just a practical statement; it was a declaration of God’s perfect design for relationships.
As men, we often try to shoulder every burden on our own. We convince ourselves that independence is strength, but the reality is, God never intended for us to live that way. We need help. I need help. And in His goodness, God created women to be our perfect helpers—not as subordinates, but as partners, vital and equal in their purpose to walk alongside us in fulfilling His plan.
Reflecting on Brazil
While in Brazil, I saw examples of how this design plays out in everyday life. Relationships flourish when men embrace their need for connection and support, and when they honor the role of women as God’s gift to them. It’s a dynamic that brings balance, purpose, and strength to families, churches, and communities.
A Personal Reminder
This truth resonates personally with me. I’m blessed with a perfect helper in my life—someone who strengthens me, encourages me, and reminds me of God’s love through her actions. It’s not always easy to admit that we need help, but doing so aligns us with God’s design and opens the door to incredible blessings.
Your Challenge
Men, I challenge you to reflect on this truth in your own life. Are you trying to go through life alone, or are you embracing the help God has provided through the people around you? Honor the relationships God has placed in your life. Recognize that needing help isn’t a weakness; it’s part of God’s perfect plan.
